What did you do this past week?

I spent this week completing a midterm for CS345 Programming Languages. I also had some math homework due as well. Luckily I have completed everything in time and have submitted before Spring Break

What’s in your way?

As spring break has now started, my schedule is free. My plan is to work on LeetCode problems to refresh and improve upon my knowledge of data strucutures. I hope to finish as much of project 3 as I can during the break.

What will you do next week?

I will enjoy the break as much as I can and hopefully get vaccinated if possible. I’ll start the next project when I have free time during the break and finish as much as I can so there is no pilup with other classes when the semester resumes.

If you read it, what did you think of the Liskov Substitution Principle?

I found the concepts presented in the paper crucial to apply in a Software Engineering career. I’m glad papers like these broaden my horizon and make me consider concepts such as LSP. I hope that these come in handy when I am a full-fledged software engineer.

What was your experience of heap arrays, allocators, and digits iterator?

I am actually quite weak in heap arrays and allocators as those were hard for me to grasp in the previous classes but I understand digits iterator quite well. I think rewatching the lectures and going through old code will help me complete the Allocator project. I’m glad there isn’t any concurrency.

What made you happy this week?

I had Ramen Tatsuya which is one of the best Ramen spots in Austin. I also went home for Spring Break which is great.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My tip of the week is to use Overleaf.com for LaTeX or LaTeX submission. Saves a lot of time and lets you preview before you submit. It helps you learn LaTex and helps graders a lot with grading your work as it is easy to read over handwritten work.
