What did you do this past week?

I attended lectures for my classes online. My close friend turned 21 this weekend and I had a great time at his birthday party. I have also visited and studied at coffee shops including Merit Coffee and Codependent Coffee. I really like trying different drinks on their menu and asking baristas what they reccomend.

What’s in your way?

I do not have much in my way and expect to finish Project 1 pretty quick. I have done the project in C++ before so it shouldn’t be very difficult to translate that code over to Python.

What will you do next week?

Next week I will work on wrapping up the Collatz project and making sure I have met every requirement in the specification. I also hope to familiarize myself with Docker and other software tools for the upcoming projects.

What did you think of Paper #1: Syllabus?

It was good to get used to the Perusall interface. Although annotating the syllabus was a bit of a hassle since everything is straightforward and there aren’t any intuitive comments we can make. This is just my opinion however.

What was your experience of assertions and Collatz? (this question will vary, week to week)

I have done the Collatz project in C++ in both OOP and Generic so I am familiar with assertions and Collatz conjecture.

What made you happy this week?

I was happy this week because I had Trader Joe’s Tiramisu Ice Cream. I really like trying new things from Trader Joe’s and I fill like they have many items which blend with my palate.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My tip of the week is to use the Tab-Nine extension in VSCode. It has autocomplete features driven by an AI which are very useful since they require less keystrokes to accomplish the same function.
