Entry #3

What did you do this past week?

This past week I spent most of my time on the Collatz submission. I had to modify my previous assignment slightly to fit the parameters for the new Collatz. I tried a new Barbecue joint in Austin and it was very tasty. I also rode on a motorcyle for the first time.

What’s in your way?

A few of my friends from Houston and Dallas came over to stay in my apartment in Austin. They were fun to be around but distracted me from my work. I should allot time to complete my assignments in order to better manage my time.

What will you do next week?

I plan to work on the Netflix project with my partner. We will work diligently until the due date. We will also attend Office Hours if we have any difficulties.

If you read it, what did you think of Paper #3: Pair Programming?

It was a great paper. I have read this paper many times in my previous computer science. I think it explains what each person is responsible for in the pair programming projects. One person with the keyboard who drive is a very unique approach to pair programming.

What was your experience of value vs. pointer vs. reference and Incr?

I have experienced all of these in CS371p Object Oriented Programming. Value, pointer reference and Incr are alll challenging to use but important to understand.

What made you happy this week?

A few of my friends from Houston and Dallas came over to stay in my apartment in Austin. We drove around Austin and had Velvet Taco and Austin Barbecue. I also played Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

What was your experience of Boost Serialization and RMSE?

I do not have experience in these.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My tip of the week is to use Duolingo. Duolingo is great to learn a new languange such as Spanish or Japanese.
